The world’s most reliable source of aviation analytics, Cirium, have announced the launch of its highly anticipated 2023 On-Time Performance Review, detailing excellent operational performance. The winners of this year, from all corners of the globe, have not only risen to the challenge but also broken records for timeliness and operational effectiveness.

For the third consecutive year, Delta Air Lines has been awarded with the Cirium Platinum Award, a testament to its dedication to optimising operating efficiency and reducing disturbances to passengers. Delta was additionally named the most punctual airline in North America.

The prestigious title of being the world’s most punctual airline was won by Columbia-based Avianca Airlines. The winners in the remaining regions are Iberia Express in Europe, Copa in Latin America, Oman Air in the Middle East and Africa, and ANA in Asia Pacific. Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport was the world’s best performing airport, and Safair was the top low-cost carrier.

The definition of an on-time flight is a flight that reaches its destination within fifteen minutes of the planned gate arrival. For an airport, it is defined as departing within 15 minutes of its scheduled departure.
