Oman Air has officially become the 15th member of the oneworld® alliance, marking a significant milestone for both the airline and the global airline partnership. The move expands oneworld’s footprint in the Middle East and adds new travel connections across key international markets.
With the membership effective as of the 1st of July, oneworld passengers now have access to Oman Air’s expanding network, including its latest route connecting Muscat and Amsterdam non-stop. The airline, headquartered at Muscat International Airport, currently flies to 42 destinations across 22 countries and territories, many of which align with major oneworld hubs.
The inclusion of Oman’s national carrier is being viewed as a strategic enhancement for the alliance.
“We are proud to welcome Oman Air to the oneworld family. Oman Air brings valuable strategic reach and award-winning product and service to the alliance. This partnership opens up exciting new connections for our customers, particularly across the Gulf and South Asia, and reinforces oneworld’s position as the premium alliance for international travellers.”
Nat Pieper, CEO of oneworld.
Membership in the alliance allows Oman Air customers to benefit from a range of services available to oneworld travellers, including mileage accrual and redemption across the network, status recognition, and access to nearly 700 lounges worldwide. Top-tier Oman Air frequent flyers also gain access to oneworld lounges, including recently opened flagship lounges in Amsterdam and Seoul.
“Oman Air is honoured to be joining the oneworld alliance, whose members and global footprint represent the best of what international travellers want to experience. We are thrilled to be able to welcome oneworld customers to the Sultanate of Oman to experience our unique culture, stunning mountain excursions, beautiful beaches, and, above all, the warm hospitality of the Omani people.”
Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air.
The airline is known for offering three cabin classes, including premium long-haul seating in its Business Studio suites. Oman Air’s service has received several international accolades, including Best Food & Beverage and Best Cabin Service in the Middle East at the Apex 2025 Awards. In late 2024, the airline joined a select group of only ten carriers worldwide to receive the APEX WORLD CLASS by YATES+ award, also earning distinction as the first airline to receive the same recognition for a Business Class Lounge, its flagship lounge in Muscat.
Oman Air’s addition further consolidates oneworld’s position as a top-tier global airline alliance, with enhanced offerings for travellers seeking more connectivity across the Middle East and beyond.
