Embraer has completed another senior leadership visit to India as the aerospace manufacturer continues to broaden its engagement with the country’s industrial ecosystem. The trip reflects ongoing efforts to grow Embraer’s supplier base in India while identifying new collaboration opportunities across multiple areas of its business, further strengthening ties between Indian and Brazilian aerospace sectors.
“We reaffirm our strong commitment to collaborating with India’s aerospace industry. Our focus is on advancing joint initiatives in defence and civil aviation, contributing to technological innovation, operational excellence, and long-term strategic partnerships. India is a key partner in shaping the future of aerospace, and we are dedicated to building sustainable cooperation that supports both the domestic industrial base and global initiatives.”
– Roberto Chaves, Executive Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain at Embraer.
The visit follows a series of engagements Embraer has maintained in India over several years and included discussions with domestic companies as well as government representatives. During the trip, the company evaluated a broad spectrum of Indian industrial capabilities, ranging from aerostructure assembly and advanced machining to composite materials, metal forming, wiring solutions, and both hardware and software development.
India continues to feature prominently in Embraer’s strategy for the Asia Pacific region, with plans underway to establish a robust local supply chain framework. Recent steps include the opening of an Embraer office in New Delhi and the formation of a dedicated procurement team to manage and support supply chain activities within the country.
Across commercial, executive, and defence aviation, India remains a significant market for Embraer. More than 44 Embraer aircraft are currently in operation nationwide, including business jets used by the Indian government and specialised surveillance aircraft flown by the Indian Air Force, underscoring the company’s long-standing operational presence in the region.
