A new Sunreef ULTIMA 88 has been commissioned, further showcasing the evolution of high-performance luxury catamarans and reinforcing the growing appeal of the shipyard’s latest design direction. Commissioned by tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, the project highlights how modern yacht owners are increasingly prioritising a balance of speed, comfort and seamless access to life on the water.

The ULTIMA 88 stands out as a contemporary multihull that merges streamlined styling with strong performance credentials. With the ability to reach speeds of up to 26 knots, the yacht offers an energetic cruising experience while maintaining the stability and generous living space associated with catamarans. Its overall concept is centred on versatility, combining refined interiors with expansive outdoor areas designed for both relaxation and activity.
A defining feature of the model is its Ocean Lounge, positioned at the stern to create a direct connection to the sea. This flexible space incorporates a large garage, hydraulic platform and unfolding side terraces, forming an open waterside environment ideal for launching jet skis and enjoying water sports. The layout transforms the aft section into a social and recreational hub, reflecting the yacht’s emphasis on an active, outdoor-orientated lifestyle.
The vessel will be entirely customised, with a layout that includes four guest cabins alongside a forward owner’s suite on the main deck. The full-beam master stateroom is designed to maximise natural light and includes a spacious bathroom with a bathtub, offering a calm and private retreat. Additional relaxation and dining areas will be located on the flybridge, further enhancing the yacht’s focus on open-air living.
