Encompass Marine has been appointed to be Lagersmit’s new agent for maritime shaft sealing solutions in the United Kingdom. Encompass Marine takes over from Ship Repairers & Shipbuilders (SRS) and will solely represent Lagersmit in the UK. Roderick Wordie of SRS will remain as an advisor in the coming year as to ensure the successful handover of current projects and to maintain the first-class customer support in the UK over the transition period.
The transfer to Encompass Marine follows the ambition of Lagersmit to further expand its UK presence. Encompass Marine, led by Jon Thompson and David Maitland, delivers docking and major equipment supply, diving and marine services to the maritime industry. The company is dedicated to enhancing ship owners’ performance and reliability. The offices in York and Glasgow ensure coverage throughout the UK. The cooperation between Lagersmit and Encompass Marine unlocks new potential to serve customers with new building, after sales and retrofit solutions. As the teams of Lagersmit, SRS (as an advisor) and Encompass Marine will work together in the first year, a strong team is ready to deliver excellent stern tube and thruster sealing solutions in the UK.
