TDoS (Tillberg Design of Sweden), part of the Viken Group, has unveiled its latest contribution to the world of high-end cruising with the introduction of the 241-metre Oceania Allura. Building on the creative direction first seen on Oceania Vista in 2023 and later on her sister ship delivered in 2025, the new vessel continues the design lineage that has defined Oceania Cruises’ most recent newbuilds. The partnership itself draws on TDoS’s longstanding relationship with Norwegian Cruise Line, the sister brand to Oceania Cruises, where collaboration over many years has produced a series of celebrated interiors.
On board Oceania Allura, the owner’s suite has been conceived as a standout showcase of American glamour. Wrapped in a palette of red, white and blue, the suite blends refined furniture, curated accessories and subtle coastal motifs to create a calm, sophisticated retreat. Guests staying here can enjoy a generous balcony, a butler’s pantry and a walk-in closet, in addition to a dining area positioned to maximise ocean vistas. The suite also accommodates a bar featuring a hammered metal top, a spacious lounge with plush seating, a writing desk and an elegant cabinet housing the built-in television.
Deck 14 offers guests a warm welcome at Baristas, the ship’s dedicated coffee lounge. Designed as a bright and relaxed corner for guests to enjoy fresh pastries and expertly prepared espresso drinks, the venue pairs sweeping sea views with interior details that mix classic charm and contemporary flair. Soft yellow, blue and white tones are accented with gold, complemented by polished crème and black marble, antique mirrors and distinctive glass chandeliers.
Elsewhere, Oceania Allura presents a series of serene spaces for unwinding. The library features handcrafted bookcases, displaying Oceania Cruises’ extensive literary collection, while additional lounges provide comfortable surroundings for quiet moments or refreshments. Among them is the Concierge Lounge on deck 9, a warm, intimate area defined by dark wood panelling, soft-toned fabrics and a striking golden cage as its central design element. Further up on deck 11, the Executive Lounge delivers an atmosphere of refined luxury with dramatic stone walls, a herringbone floor, custom shelving and a mirrored ceiling. Decorative patterns have been carefully echoed through the doors, ceiling and bookcases to establish a cohesive visual identity.
TDoS has also shaped the ship’s retail offering, developing a trio of distinct boutiques. The cosmetics shop embraces flattering pale pink and nude tones set against a dark brown floor, with rose metal highlights, mirrors and a sculptural chandelier lending a touch of vintage Hollywood glamour. The clothing and accessories store takes a more contemporary approach, presenting a fresh, modern environment enhanced by white and silver accents, backlit black onyx and a bespoke crystal and glass chandelier. In contrast, the jewellery shop is imagined as an elegant jewellery box, complete with deep blue velvet-lined glass displays and a metal framework that creates a dramatic backdrop, framed by light onyx and blue-veined marble.
“The jewellery store had a private room in which they created a golden cage made of metal. Creating this structure without making the rattling noise of the metal when the ship is moving, whilst still keeping it as a totally private space which was both elegant and luxurious, was certainly a challenge. In the end, we were truly delighted with the results.”
It’s always a pleasure to work with the different design firms, the suppliers and contractors throughout all of the areas on board, as well as with the client, of course. The work went smoothly and has given our team a lot of fun, as well as valuable learning opportunities.”
