A new international contract secured in the aftermath of MTB Marine Europe has seen Roussakis Supplies prepare a full package of hot-work safety equipment for shipment to one of the world’s busiest maritime hubs, Busan Port in South Korea.
The opportunity originated during meetings at MTB Marine Europe in Lisbon, Portugal, where the company was approached with a request for gas-cutting and flashback-arrestor solutions. After the event, the enquiry moved into a formal review involving multiple suppliers. Roussakis Supplies ultimately emerged as the selected provider, recognised for its certified equipment, alignment with RightShip and OCIMF standards, and a strong commercial advantage.
The order covers a range of safety-critical components, including flashback arrestors, oxygen and acetylene regulators, cutting torch sets and associated nozzles, specified to support safer onboard hot-work operations and meet the inspection expectations set out in RightShip protocols and OCIMF’s SIRE 2.0 programme.
With preparations complete, the equipment is ready to be dispatched directly to Busan, reinforcing the company’s growing activity across Asia’s shipbuilding and vessel-repair markets.
This latest delivery underlines the expanding international presence of Roussakis Supplies and highlights the role MTB Marine Europe continues to play in connecting suppliers with operators seeking robust, compliant and cost-efficient technical solutions.
