Luxury yacht manufacturer Numarine has officially launched the 40MXP, the latest and largest model in its celebrated XP Series. Measuring 40 metres, this new flagship sets a new benchmark for the Turkish builder’s long-range explorer line. Several additional 40MXP units are currently in production, with two scheduled for delivery in 2025.
“Preserving the same stylistic cues and DNA of all our models, the 40MXP retains our high-volume, low-maintenance, long-range ethos while offering a number of new design features that enhance the intimate connection with the sea that a yacht provides.”
Ömer Malaz, Chairman at Numarine.
The “MXP” designation stands for “Mediterranean Explorer”, a name that reflects the yacht’s design focus on connecting life onboard with the water in a relaxed, beach-club style. Drawing on the philosophy behind the XP Series, the 40MXP builds on the success of the 37XP but expands the concept even further.
Key among the design updates is a dramatically extended aft deck, achieved by both lengthening the hull and repositioning the saloon’s rear doors further forward. This newly configured area now houses an outdoor dining setup, bar, and spacious seating area — all centred around a striking aft pool with a clear-glass transom. A large hydraulic swim platform, spanning the full width of the yacht’s 8-metre beam, completes the luxurious outdoor offering. An optional awning provides shade, making the area ideal for warmer climates like the Mediterranean, United States, or Australia.
While the “M” brings a new level of alfresco luxury, the 40MXP continues to embody the explorer capabilities the XP Series is known for. Designed in collaboration with naval architect Umberto Tagliavini, the vessel’s efficient hull delivers an impressive range of 6,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 8 knots.
The standard engine configuration includes twin 800hp MAN engines, with an available upgrade to 900hp Tier III-compliant models for enhanced performance and emissions compliance.
Numarine’s trademark spaciousness and comfort are on full display inside the 40MXP. Up to 12 guests can be accommodated across six suites, including a main deck, full-beam owner’s suite and two additional cabins that can be customised to suit owner preferences. The yacht’s interiors, along with the external design, have once again been created by long-time collaborator Can Yalman.
Staying true to the features that made the 37XP a market favourite, the 40MXP offers a vast flybridge, expansive upper decks, and a large tender deck capable of stowing a 9-metre tender, three jet skis, and additional water sports equipment. With its extended cruising range and versatile design, the 40MXP is ideal for both private adventures and charter operations.
“We are extremely excited to have delivered the first of the all new 40MXP. Our new flagship offers true luxury blended with versatility, be that for family or charter use, whilst maintaining our core Numarine DNA.”
Chris Gore, Sales & Marketing Director at Numarine.
