All Nippon Airways (ANA) & the Pokémon Company have launched their greatly anticipated Pikachu Jet NH & have announced it is ready to begin commercial flights. This aircraft was unveiled at one of ANA’s hangars at the Tokyo Haneda International Airport and was welcomed by the most well-known Pokémon series, Pikachu. The inaugural flight happened on the 4th of June 2023 and flew to Bangkok.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner has been specially painted to feature the flying Pokémon, Rayquaza, across the fuselage. Accompanying the Legendary Pokémon, other notable Pokémon such as Pikachu, Charizard, Latias, Latios, Vivillon, & more from all over the world of Pokémon. The “Pokémon Air Adventures” project is set to create a buzz around travel alongside the easing travel restrictions & has been called a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment for people to experience the joy of travel and the pleasure of mobility once again.
The collaboration will include a series of original special services, products & inflight entertainment. The first of the original goods to be unveiled is a bath poncho that the passengers on board will be able to purchase through the in-flight duty-free sales service as well as the ANA SKY STORE – an online shopping service accessed through the Wi-Fi provided on the domestic flights and lounges. Passengers will also have the chance to enjoy Pokémon-related content such as POKÉTOON & Pokémon Kids TV on all ANA International & domestic flights.
To add to the unique experience, some of the commercial flights will also offer souvenirs to all onboard customers, this could include ‘kifuda’ wooden tags, one of five commemorative stickers and a special boarding certificate.
To round off the experience, the jet will feature new uniforms and aprons for the stewards, headrest covers featuring Pikachu, special hot and cold paper cups and background music to make the journey feel like an all-encompassing Pokémon adventure.
The “Pikachu Jet NH” has been scheduled to operate for approximately 5 years from June 4, 2023. The current list of 2023 routes from Haneda include Bangkok, Singapore, Jakarta, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Delhi, Sydney, Vancouver & Honolulu.
