An international energy operator has given DOF Group ASA a contract to fix an export cable for an offshore wind farm in the Southern North Sea. The project comprises the removal of the damaged cable and the replacement cable’s termination, installation, trenching, and commissioning.
Project management, engineering, procurement, and cable logics, together with all related equipment and the entirety of the offshore works, are all included in DOF’s contract scope.
The knowledgeable cable team at DOF has already started preparations in Aberdeen, Scotland, and Bergen, Norway. The execution will take place offshore starting in March. The installation vessel is expected to be the Skandi Hera.
The project is estimated to be valued USD 13 million.
“This award demonstrates trust in DOF’s cable solutions within the renewable energy segment. We look forward to executing this highly important project to our highest standards.”
Mons S. Aase, CEO of DOF Group.
