DOF has announced they have agreed a deal with software company Yxney to roll out the Maress cloud-based system to its entire fleet of more than 60 vessels, to be used to assist the company in data-driven emissions reduction.
DOF are a global team of skilled professionals who, combined with a fleet of state-of-the-art, purpose-built vessels, provide services to the Oil and Gas industry across the entire offshore life cycle. This is the formula for our success in delivering solutions to our customers.
“The energy transition has started”, says Yxney CEO Simen Sanna. “All stakeholders in the maritime industry are now looking for efficient ways of collaborating to meet the 2030 and 2050 emission targets. For us it is an honor to work with the offshore and energy companies in this historic transition. Companies like DOF have deep understanding of the ocean and technologies that work on and below water in harsh environments. This knowledge will be of crucial importance in the time to come – both during and after the energy transition.”
DOF had already completed a roll-out of Maress on 30 of its vessels and will now extend its use to the rest of the company’s ships after evaluating the software package over the course of a year in operation.
The Maress analytics system is used to support shore and bridge teams in making more informed decisions on how to reduce vessel emissions. The software can be integrated with existing shipboard technology for data gathering, to provide transparency and allow for direct comparisons across the fleet.
Lars Christian Larsen, DOF Senior PM Energy Management said “we are pleased to see our cooperation with Yxney grow and we are looking forward to be a part of further user adjustments of their Maress software program to the best, for our fleet and the maritime industry as a whole.”
As it will be linked with existing data sources Yxney says that the system can be rolled out quickly and is expected be operational on the whole fleet in Q1 of 2021.
