Heesen Yachts have announced the sale of the 55m Steel YN 20655, code-named Project Venus. With a January 2025 launch date set, Project Venus is proceeding rapidly throughout construction. This superyacht is part of Heesen’s speculative programme, which gives customers the chance to purchase a luxury vessel with faster delivery dates without sacrificing quality.
“Returning to Heesen was an easy choice for our client. We know that their high-quality standards and desire to exceed our needs will result in yet another fabulous build. There is no other shipyard in the world where you can sign for a yacht in June and they deliver in ten months a high-quality yacht customized to our needs. Their revised 55m platform offers a ‘best in class’ layout and engineering platform. Our whole build support team is thrilled to be working with Heesen again.”
Rupert Connor, Luxury Yachts, representing the client.
Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture is leading the customisation of the interior design, working directly with the client and his team to make sure it flawlessly captures the owner’s refined taste and lifestyle. The construction of Project Venus commenced in November 2022. Its sleek steel hull, a refined version of the incredibly effective FDHF design by van Oossanen Naval Architects, was painstakingly constructed at Talsma in Friesland, the Netherlands. For more than ten years, Talsma has been Heesen’s reliable partner. Together, the two companies have closely collaborated to produce steel hulls that satisfy our high standards. Our aluminium hulls are welded at our factory in Oss, so in order to prevent cross-contamination, the steel hulls are fabricated at a different location in order to preserve the greatest quality.
The owner’s vision for the yacht’s interior will soon be achieved by the skilled interior craftspeople at Heesen Yachts, guaranteeing a luxurious and highly personalised experience.
With its spacious 760 GT covered area, Project Venus provides more than enough room for luxurious amenities, all while being compact enough to fit through the picturesque ports of the Mediterranean. Venus is a genuine blue-water motor yacht with outstanding seakeeping skills that guarantees secure cruising even in choppy conditions. In addition, the robust steel hull and the forward-positioned stabiliser fins make for an incredibly comfortable cruise.
“The return of a valued client is a testament to the exceptional quality and reliability of our yachts. It reaffirms our commitment to delivering a product that exceeds expectations and meets the highest standards of luxury and performance. The satisfaction and loyalty displayed by returning clients inspire us to continually push the boundaries of innovation and craftsmanship.”
Niels Vaessen, CEO Heesen.
With the expected delivery of YN 20655 in Q2 2025, Heesen Yachts will have achieved yet another significant milestone in providing excellent superyachts to discerning clientele.
