A significant milestone in Strategic Marine’s development in the offshore oil and gas industry has been reached with the signing and delivery of the company’s first Surface Effect Ship (SES) to All Energies Services. The contract is an important step in Strategic Marine’s continued partnership with AIRCAT Vessels, ESNA (Espeland and Skomedal Naval Architects), and AES to develop a revolutionary 35-meter SES vessel.
Specifically built for offshore crew transfer operations, this high-performance SES can reach speeds of over 50 knots and provides smooth offshore transfers in rough sea conditions up to 2.5 meters. The vessel’s state-of-the-art technology and design guarantee lower emissions and enhanced sustainability to meet the changing demands of the marine sector.
“We are delighted to deliver our first SES to AES, a testament to Strategic Marine’s commitment to providing innovative, high-speed solutions for the offshore market. This vessel represents a significant leap forward in comfort, efficiency, and environmental responsibility, and we look forward to further expanding our capabilities of building SES vessels in the years to come. Our ongoing partnership with AIRCAT and ESNA has been instrumental in making this vision a reality, and we anticipate continued success as we push the boundaries of what’s possible in crew transfer operations.”
Mr. Chan Eng Yew, CEO of Strategic Marine.
Key Features of the SES Vessel:
- Unmatched Speed and Efficiency: The SES reduces transit times and improves offshore crew transfer operations by achieving speeds of more than 50 knots.
- Tailored for Offshore Conditions: Even in difficult sea conditions, the vessel’s strengthened hull and SES active motion dampening technology guarantee safe and effective transfers.
- The dynamic air cushion in the ship allows for very little noise and vibration, as well as fewer motions while in motion.
This SES vessel is revolutionising the offshore oil and gas sector by providing AES with a cutting-edge way to improve crew safety and comfort, cut down on travel time, and lessen environmental effects. As Strategic Marine completes this initial SES, the business anticipates additional opportunities to develop and broaden its SES product line internationally.
Strategic Marine is deeply grateful to AES, AIRCAT, and ESNA for their trust and crucial relationship. This partnership has raised the bar for offshore personnel transfer ships, and they expect more fruitful endeavours in the future.
