Loganair has announced on 27th May 2021 that extra service will be added to its Teesside International to London Heathrow route, bringing the total to three flights daily.
Loganair will offer a new Monday to Friday route, beginning on 12th July, in a move that it will boost connectivity for onward international travel, and increasing flexibility for leisure and business passengers.
The one-hour 15-minute flight, departing Teesside at 14:50 and then leaving London Heathrow at 16:40, will provide a mid-afternoon alternative to its current schedule which runs an early morning and evening service.
Loganair has partnerships with some of the world’s biggest airlines including British Airways, KLM, Air France, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines and Qatar Airways amongst others, to provide international travel from Teesside, the North East and North Yorkshire. This announcement will give global travellers even more options when flying from Teesside as coronavirus restrictions ease.
The agreements mean passengers can travel on one ticket for their entire international journey, via Heathrow, and have the benefits and reassurance of through check-in and through luggage to their final destination, along with protected connections in the event of delays.
Tees Valley Mayor, Ben Houchen said:
“It’s fantastic that Loganair’s adding more services to help our local people get to London either for business or pleasure, get a connection abroad as international travel guidelines continue to be reviewed, and to show people from the capital what Teesside has to offer.
“As coronavirus restrictions have eased over the past few weeks, we’ve seen sales ramp up as more people feel comfortable with travelling once again and this route, in particular, is proving really popular.
“It continues to be onward and upward for our airport, as the finishing touches are being put towards our terminal redevelopment which will be complete and ready to welcome our new passengers in just days, into an airport fit for the 21st century.”

News of the extra departure comes just days after Loganair’s first flight to Bristol from Teesside took off, with the new route to the South West joining its services to Aberdeen, Belfast, Newquay and the capital, ahead of the introduction of Jersey later this summer.
Passengers still have chance to get 10% off their seats with Loganair’s summer sale. People aiming to travel to all Loganair destinations after 14 June can get a ticket for less if they book before 1st June.
