The new 48-metre vessel named Sagasu, after the Japanese term ‘to search’, represents the project’s driving principle, which is the exploration and discovery of new frontiers. The vessel embodies all the qualities of an exploration yacht, providing the proportions and features of larger vessels without going over the 500 GT restriction.
“I am extremely satisfied with the recently concluded agreement with our new strategic partner, Adam Blackmore, Co-founder of ISEO Yachting, and the business opportunity that this collaboration opens for our company.
The expansion of our business into new markets, with a particular focus on Hong Kong and Asia, represents a significant step in our growth. This step is an integral part of our strategic expansion plan that will further consolidate our position in the industry.”
Sergio Cutolo, President of Hydro Tec.
Sagasu’s external lines demonstrate a balance between elegance and dynamism, thanks to the seamless blending of classic and traditional qualities with aspects of robustness and modernity. The team led by Richard Partington, Design Director at Hydro Tec, have balanced and integrated many technical and artistic elements while adhering to the project’s demanding specifications.
The flush windows on the hull are a distinctive element that forms a suspended glass-wrapped central island that direct observers throughout the length of the ship. A thin line follows the upper portion of Sagasu, accentuating its features and is a detail that is said to improve and emphasise the imposing yet balanced superstructure.
Equipped with four distinct configurations that provide exceptional adaptability concerning both length and capacity, along with an abundance of customisation options dependant upon the tastes of the owner. An integrated chaise lounge balcony and a >70sqm private terrace is perfect for relaxing and taking in the sea view from the owner’s area. The owner’s cabin features floor to ceiling windows to provide a view of the private Jacuzzi, a little outside lounging area and a bathroom area.
Privacy on board has been thought about in depth. Internal stairs connect the lower deck to the command deck, allowing direct access to the garage area, which is open to the bow and houses the rescue tender and the customised exploration tender. This facilitates movement for the sizeable 11-member crew. Direct access to the mooring area from this location guarantees total guest privacy and permits discreet crew operations.
Sagasu’s elements have all been combined to produce spacious outdoor areas in the bow and aft areas. Guests can enjoy the outdoor spaces even when the boat is docked as the two tenders are neatly stored in the garage area. The large beach club features foldable terraces that open up to the sea, greatly increasing the amount of space that may be used. An infinity pool and a movable sitting and sunbathing configuration to create an ‘authentic marine paradise’.
This project is the first concrete result of Hydro Tec and ISEO Yachting Limited’s new strategic partnership. As a result of the collaboration between Global Yacht Services, a reputable yacht management company with over 20 boats under management, and seasoned broker Adam Blackmore, who brings over 30 years of experience to the table, ISEO Yachting is a relatively new but well-established presence in Hong Kong and the Asian scene. This is a strategically important location for the Asian yacht market. This partnership aims to investigate new commercial prospects in the thriving Far East market.
“I am thrilled but more excited to work on this strategic partnership with Hydro Tec. Their name alone carries so much weight, and the team are all just wonderful to work with. Being able to offer our clients and shipyard yards in Asia such a deep level of knowledge and passion is unique and will empower us to exceed our client’s expectations. Sagasu is a testament to this, I have used all my years in Asia working with and listening to clients and put it into this project. Having gone through the same process, a client would when designing their own yacht was an unbelievable experience. Of course, my ideas and vision are nothing without the expert team from Hydro Tec, making it the reality you see here.”
Adam Blackmore, Co-founder of ISEO Yachting.
“I am confident that this synergy will lead to extraordinary results and will further allow us to consolidate our position in the global market, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in the yacht design industry.”
Sergio Cutolo, President of Hydro Tec.
