The most anticipated event of 2024, the 15th Anniversary of MTB Marine Asia has come to an end with the team celebrating the achievements of the sold-out event. MTB ‘Meet the Buyer’ would like to extend their gratitude to the attending delegates, their presence and enthusiasm have contributed significantly to the success of the event.

On the first day of the event, the delegates were warmly welcomed by the MTB Team who handed them their badge and the comprehensive directory of all Buyer & Supplier profiles. That evening the attendees were invited to the welcome dinner to mark the beginning of the networking and connecting. This dinner was kindly sponsored by Ozgen Ship Supply.
The first day of meetings began promptly on the Thursday. When the Buyers arrived at the ballroom they were shown to their assigned tables, by the MTB Team, where they would be based over the two day meeting programme. Each table featured the Buyers’ bespoke schedules as well as pens and pads sponsored by Ozgen Ship Supply and canvas bags sponsored by Middle East Fuji LLC.
As the suppliers arrived at the MTB Support Desk they received their custom schedules instructing them which table to visit when meeting with the Buyers. The established meeting programme runs between 9:30 am and 4:10 pm each day, with the meetings lasting 20 minutes each.
Once the first day of meetings had come to a successful close the delegates enjoyed their free time to continue networking efforts or to simply relax. At 7:30 pm the delegates met to be taken away from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur City and into the lush jungle for a unique dinner experience. As this was the 15th Anniversary of MTB Marine Asia, there was a special performance of traditional live music and lion dancers as well as a magician walking between the tables. The cultural cuisine and entertainment surrounded by the sounds and sights of nature made this dinner one that will be remembered.
The Friday consisted of a similar meeting programme but with the addition of an extended coffee break for the tabletop presentations. The tabletop presentations are a great way for Suppliers to further exhibit themselves beyond the 20 minutes and creates additional connection opportunities. The giveaways proved to be highly popular with many delegates collecting various items to remember the Suppliers by.
The final night dinner concluded the prosperous 15th Anniversary of MTB Marine Asia. Our delegates were welcomed with a drinks reception before being seated for a three-course dinner in the ballroom. This meal was sponsored by Middle East Fuji LLC with a final gift of notebooks and pens. During this dinner, the delegates were profusely thanked by the MTB Team, a prize draw was pulled and a video showcasing the highlights of the past few days. After the MTB Team left the stage there was a surprise of traditional Malaysian dancers that performed for the enthusiastic crowd. The night ended with those in attendance creating lasting memories with the photo booth and creating lasting memories.
