A new sales and charter office in Monaco and the hiring of Cristian Schwarzwalder as the company’s new director of sales in Europe mark FGI Yacht Group’s successful entry into the European market.
FGI Yacht Group has achieved a noteworthy milestone with this growth. FGI Yacht Group has seen great growth and demand across multiple markets in the three years since its founding. Currently, FGI Yacht Group works out of five well-located offices across three nations and two continents: Fort Lauderdale, Monaco, the Hamptons, the Great Lakes, and Mexico.
The U.S. clients of FGI Yacht Group who are interested in buying yachts in the region would greatly benefit from the new office in Monaco, which will also give the European clients of the company easier access to its U.S. product offers.
Cristian Schwarzwalder’s industrial experience is invaluable in this new position. He provides international clientele with a plethora of sales and new construction knowledge, as well as a distinct perspective, having held senior roles at numerous prestigious European shipyards. He played a significant role in the sales of numerous major projects, including the 87-meter flagship of the shipyard, during his most recent role as Sales Director at Turquoise Yachts.
Cristian is the perfect candidate to lead FGI Yacht Group Monaco because of his unique skill set, extensive understanding of the brokerage and new build markets, project development, and naval architecture. He has effectively established and managed multiple sales operations in the United States and Europe. Over the course of his more than 25-year career, Schwarzwalder has also built a superb network that will be extremely beneficial to the clients of FGI Yacht Group in both Europe and the United States.
“We are thrilled to welcome Cristian to the team, and to expand our presence in Monaco, one of the premier markets in the yachting world. Without a doubt, Cristian is fully aligned with our mantra to serve clients first and foremost. His years of experience and proven track record with U.S. and European clients serve to strengthen the chemistry in this relationship.”
Altea Llakmani, COO and Co-Founder of FGI Yacht Group.
“I am incredibly excited about this new opportunity and looking forward to helping FGI’s U.S. clients to access the European market, and vice versa to help European clients access the U.S. market. I love the personal approach of FGI, one fully supported by a family business mindset. It makes FGI stand out amongst the rest.”
Cristian Schwarzwalder, European Director of Sales, FGI Yacht Group.
The launch of the Monaco office comes after a run of recent brokerage transactions for FGI, which included the 68.2-meter RAGNAR, the 72.6-meter QUANTUM OF SOLACE, and numerous vessels in the 30 to 40-meter range. Sales of new builds have been equally strong. Presently, Project AME, the 49.95-meter Bilgin 163-II, and three special projects with the Admiral yard that range in length from 50 to 82 metres are among the superyachts under construction and managed by FGI Yacht Group.
The entire range of services offered by the company, including new building, boat sales, and yacht rental, will be provided by FGI boat Group Monaco. Additionally, it will support and reinforce the extremely effective client-first strategy of FGI Yacht Group.
