The 2024 edition of MTB Marine Europe has now concluded with the Meet the Buyer team celebrating the success of the largest event of the year! We would like to express our gratitude to all participants as their presence and enthusiasm helped this event run so smoothly and was a lot of good fun for all involved.

The MTB Team welcomed the participants as they arrived throughout Wednesday, providing them with their own Buyer or Supplier badges and a full event directory. To ensure a smooth event for everyone, the staff talked each delegate through the full event, outlining the timeline and the significance of the directory.

That evening, the delegates had their first chance to catch up with old friends or begin to develop new relationships at the ice breaker dinner. This evening was kindly sponsored by Özgen Ship Supply who gifted the delegates with a local Spanish cologne.
When the first day of meetings begun, the MTB Team greeted all Buyers and Suppliers before escorting the Buyers to their desks in the ballroom. The suppliers proceeded directly to the MTB Support Desk to retrieve their personalised schedules, which provided them with the precise time and location of each meeting they would be attending. At each Buyer desk was a gift bag from Middle East Fuji LLC as well as pens and pads from Özgen Ship Supply.
Following a successful first day of meetings, the delegates enjoyed their downtime where the continued to network or prepare for the evening ahead. The attendees gathered in the lobby for 7:30pm to then be taken for a short walk out of the hotel and to the famous Rubaiyat Madrid. A beautifully presented dinner was served over a collection of courses amongst a setting of red flowers and tranquil Spanish architecture.
The meetings on Friday followed a similar schedule as the Thursday, with an extended tabletop presentation taking place during the coffee break. With the aid of their tabletop presentations, the Suppliers can present themselves in more depth and establish new relationships beyond the 20-minute meetings. Many delegates collected giveaways from the Suppliers presenting, a great way to make sure they were remembered amongst the many people that had been met.
The final night dinner was a fantastic conclusion to the success of MTB Marine Europe. Following a drinks reception with many photo opportunities, our delegates were seated in the ballroom ready for a three-course meal. The evening’s entertainment featured multiple performances by a Spanish singer, guitarist and flamenco dancer. After the main course, the MTB Team expressed their sincere gratitude to the Marine delegates in their final speech alongside a video summarising the highlights of the past few days. The evening ended and those in attendance left after successfully building and maintaining strong personal and professional relationships.
