Two additional units of Zeelander Yachts’ outstanding new flagship, the 24-meter (79-foot) Zeelander 8, are up for sale. Delivery of both yachts will take place in the Mediterranean.
Although the Zeelander 8 is the company’s largest yacht to date, it is also a direct evolution of the current product range, which starts at 14.7 meters (48 feet). Zeelander is known for its whisper-quiet operation, effortless power, and voluptuous lines. In October 2024, the Zeelander 8’s first hull was launched.
“I am delighted with the recent success and the signing of contracts for two additional units of our flagship model. Each Zeelander yacht is a masterpiece in a state of continuous evolution, and every yacht we produce is truly one of a kind. The Zeelander 8 continues to redefine standards in the yachting world with its advanced design and whisper-quiet operation, offering unparalleled comfort and sophistication on the water.”
Sietse Koopmans, Founder and owner of Zeelander Yachts.
Koopmans affirms that the company takes pride in building enduring partnerships, even though the identity of the second and third hull owners remain confidential. Many customers who have upgraded from previous versions to the flagship Zeelander 8 are returning customers.
The Zeelander 8’s remarkable length is a credit to the design team, considering it has the same ideal proportions as its smaller sisters. The colour of the second hull is still being decided, allowing the owner to further customise it, while one of the recently sold yachts will have a monochromatic pearlescent white finish. Additionally, one of them is designed especially for fans of water sports, demonstrating Zeelander’s dedication to providing a fun and adaptable on-water experience. From layout configurations to materials and finishes, the owners work closely with Zeelander’s design team to finalise every element. The adaptability ensures that every yacht is as distinctive as its owner, both inside and out.
The additional volume at deck level provides more room for a large dining table with wraparound seats as well as a separate relaxation area. A stunning full-beam owner’s cabin amidships and two additional guest doubles with ensuite bathrooms are located below deck.
Even if the Zeelander 8 is still intended to be a pleasure to drive, it is reasonable to assume that the owner may also want additional service. As a result, cabins with space for up to three crew members are located in the bow of the boat, each with its own entrance for the owner and visitors to enjoy total privacy.
Without mentioning the aft deck’s curved appeal, no description of the Zeelander 8 would be complete. Around a high-gloss table, deeply padded leatherette seats surround their occupants. The transom then swings open at the push of a button to reveal a massive 12-square-meter swimming platform that is perched above the ocean and functions as a private beach club.
With its own dedicated garage amidships that runs the entire length of the yacht, the tender doesn’t take away from the enjoyment of this area. The crew kitchen allows the captain and crew to enjoy cooking together, much like on a superyacht.
Zeelander’s owners are some of the most discerning in the world, as they are experts on the ins and outs of living onboard. For this reason, Zeelander is adaptable when it comes to the finer details of their yachts. Along with other modifications, the arrangement of important spaces like the salon, guest quarters, and aft deck can be changed to suit personal tastes. The shipyard provides a vast array of customisation options, ranging from a preferred leather to a certain lamp fitting or carpet design.
The Zeelander 8 is a superb chase boat for superyachts, as are the shipyard’s smaller vessels. They provide a chic and useful alternative for shorter journeys, shore excursions, or guest transfers by fusing speed, elegance, and versatility, which perfectly complements the larger vessels they accompany.
The new design incorporates Zeelander’s industry-leading expertise in vibration and noise mitigation. The Zeelander 8 is the quietest boat in its class, with noise levels never exceeding the 65 dBa barrier while operating at full power. Given that the typical threshold for casual conversation is approximately 72 dBa, this is very remarkable. Even when all equipment is operating at anchor, the noise level is only 35 dBa.
