The flagship MTB Marine Europe 2023 has now concluded with the team celebrating the huge success of the sold out event.
MTB ‘Meet the Buyer’ would like to extend their gratitude to all the delegates, their presence and enthusiasm made this year’s Marine Europe event the best yet.

As the delegates arrived on the first day, they were warmly welcomed and handed their badge and their comprehensive directory of all Buyer & Supplier profiles. That evening the delegates were invited to a Bavarian style dinner where they began networking and connecting over Pretzel and Steins. The tables were decorated with flags sponsored by Özgen Ship Supply and glass cloths sponsored by Mares Shipping.
The Thursday kicked off with the meetings beginning at 09:30. The buyers were shown their designated tables where they were based over the two days. Each Buyer table had their designated bespoke schedules, pens and pads sponsored by Özgen Ship Supply and mint tins sponsored by Mares Shipping. The suppliers picked up their own schedules from the MTB support desk before moving around the meeting room every 25 minutes, meeting a minimum of 15 Buyers. The lunch was kindly sponsored by ADAMAR international Marine Services.
After the meetings and a couple of hours of free time the delegates were transported to MTB’s own Oktoberfest. The attendees were whisked away to the famous Hofbräuhaus München, were they enjoyed an evening of Bavarian music, games, food and drink. The games were a smash hit with the very popular prize of stroopwafels’ being given to the winners, kindly sponsored by Ket Marine.
The final day began with more fruitful meetings before the extended coffee break and tabletop presentations. The tabletop presentations are a great way for Suppliers to show their wares and give a more in depth presentation about their business. Giveaways were very popular with lots of delegates collecting unique gifts to remember the Suppliers by.
The final night was the perfect ending to the successful MTB Marine Europe. The Friday night began with a drinks reception before the delegates entered the ballroom and were sat for a delightful three course meal with a magician and photobooth welcomed by all. The event concluded with an emotional speech from MTB Meet the Buyer, a video showcasing the highlights from the past days and then finally the prize draw.

One of the most impressive aspects was how well suppliers and buyers worked together. The event helped us establish important connections, highlighting the vital role of strong relationships with suppliers in ensuring the timely procurement of essential parts for the marine industry.
Engaging with experts in the procurement and supplier segments of the marine industry provided us with an exceptional opportunity to enhance our understanding of how to obtain essential components for ships. We engaged in discussions about maintaining ships in optimal condition and streamlining the supply process. Every exhibit at the event showcased the industry’s commitment to adopting the latest and most effective strategies for procurement.
